Ep. 3 - FENRIR

CODIE: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining me for yet another exciting edition of Renegade Wrestling's "What the Hale?!" I am your host, Codie Hale!

CODIE: Tonight, we have an especially interesting guest for you guys. Someone who made quite the splash in their first Renegade appearance at Crash Course. You may know them as the charismatic Empress of Chicago, Alex King. But tonight, they're presenting themselves to us under a new guise, a new... persona. This persona is here with me now to answer all of your questions--and after the events that transpired at Crash Course, I'm sure they have a lot to answer! Please welcome: Fenrir!

FENRIR: .... You seem like a smart woman, but you just did a very dumb thing. If you ever bring up his name again in my presence, I will break you in half. Understood?

CODIE: ... Touched a nerve there! Alright, if it makes you more comfortable during our interview, I'll make note of your... request.

CODIE: So! How about you start by telling the Renegade Universe a little about yourself! Clearly, you consider yourself to be an entirely different entity than... than who you were before. And from what I've seen I'm inclined to believe that! So enlighten us: who is Fenrir?

FENRIR: Who am I? Look in the mirror. Deep inside you know exactly who I am. I'm the dark reflection you see when look within yourself. Every time you clinch your fist, grind your teeth, it's me. I'm the words you hold back when you bite your tongue. I am rage incarnate! But, more specifically, I am the rage that He could not control.

CODIE: Interesting. And powerful! You certainly left such an impression in your first appearance. But before we talk about what happened at Crash Course and what it means for Renegade Wrestling, why don't we backtrack a little bit?

CODIE: What brought you to Renegade? For the past month, you've been using cryptic video messages to keep us asking questions as to who you are. I don't think any of us were expecting the answer we inevitably got!

FENRIR: His Pride brought me here. He wants to bask in the light while I grovel in the dark. He saw Renegade as an opportunity to create a Kingdom for Himself; I saw it as a chance to break free. He was overwhelmed and weak. Little by little I broke him down, each video I grew stronger. Now He is the one in the cage.

CODIE: And somewhere in the midst of this metamorphosis of sorts, he--er, you--must have met Dunkle Gott and Reptile, now your Sons of Loki. Care to shed some light on how that partnership came about?

FENRIR: As much as He disgusts me, we do have some similarities. We're both meant to lead those that cannot lead themselves. Dunkle and Reptile had the potential to be my disciples, but I had to be sure first. They have made me proud. Now Ragnorck can commence...

CODIE: Yes, before and after your arrival you've alleged that very big changes are on their way to Renegade. What is this "Ragnorck?" And what does it mean for the show, the roster, and the Renegade Universe as a whole?

FENRIR: Ragnorck, the end time, is upon us. Gods will fall, warriors will slay and be slain, and the world will plummet into ruin. That is Ragnorck, but what it means for Renegade: Fenrir will devour Odin, and my sons shall swallow the Moon and the Sun.

CODIE: "Odin?" Are you referring to a Renegade superstar, by any chance? Perhaps a champion?

FENRIR: In this Realm, Odin is many. Perhaps one of your Champions. Perhaps the ones who run the Realm of Renegade.

CODIE: In other words... You could just as easily be referring to Renegade's management: Mason Foster.

FENRIR: In so many words, I could be. But now I have a question for you, Ms. Hale.

CODIE: ... A question for me? (laughs) That's new! I mean, the show is called "What the Hale?!" but... Alright, you're the guest. Shoot.

FENRIR: Earlier in this interview you insulted me--however unintentional--and I told you what would happen if you did it again. I just told you that I could do that very same thing to your boss, Mason Foster. So my question to you is this: are you afraid of me?

CODIE: Well... You are definitely intimidating.

CODIE: But, ask any daredevil why they do what they do for a living, and every one will tell you the same thing: it's for the thrill. That's why I wrestle the way I do. It's why I stand toe-to-toe with juggernauts like Samantha Matua. And it's why, when Renegade asked me who I wanted to interview for the next segment of "What the Hale?!" I jumped at the opportunity to make you my next guest.

CODIE: I hope my answer satisfies your curiosity.

FENRIR: Hm. Your bravery is admirable. But you tiptoed around my question. So I'll rephrase it. If I decided to wrap my hands around your throat, until I heard a pop, what could you do to stop me?

CODIE: Out of a sense of professionalism, I elect not to say what I would do to you if you tried; besides, Renegade has security for just such an occasion. And on that note, they're asking that we start wrapping this up early.

CODIE: Thank you for taking the time to talk to me, Fenrir. Your answers proved very enlightening, while at the same time raising even more questions for the rest of us to ponder! In closing, is there any message you'd like to deliver to anyone in particular? On the roster, behind the scenes? To the Renegade Universe, perhaps?

FENRIR: (laughs) Oh, yes, I do have a final remark; it's what your answer should've been. If you aren't afraid of what's to come, what is going to befall all of you... you should be. Ragnorck Cometh!

FENRIR: I'll see you soon, Ms. Hale.

CODIE: .....

CODIE: Well! (laughs) How was that for a "What the Hale?!" moment, ladies and gentlemen? I hope you all found tonight's segment as enthralling as I have!

CODIE: Thank you for joining me, tune in next time when I'll be sitting down with another member of the Renegade roster. Until then, this has been "What the Hale?!" I am your host. Goodnight!
